IRL is an acronym for In Real Life. Our vision is enclosed in these three worlds. It is the digital terminology which refers to the physical world, the “real” world. IRL believes that a new phase in the digital revolution lays ahead of us.
We believe that the virtual will become part of our physical surroundings and that this transformation will have a major impact on social behavior.
At this moment in time we begin to see the first signals of this transformation. On a personal level we see feature rich smart phones with more capacity, mobile internet penetration rising and GPS / Cell ID implementations enabling interaction in the physical space.
IRL acknowledges the potential of this location based market and wants to contribute to it by developing products and services that stimulate the integration of the virtual in the physical.
With our product IRL Connect we link virtual information and social context to physical space. By doing so, we create a social layer of the world. In practice this means that we take the user’s friends from their online social networks, show them on the map and support interaction.
At this moment IRL Connect is in development stage.
